Breaks when you use the Captcha

This plugin initially worked fine but I recently discovered it had broken my site’s contact page. The layout works fine, if you don’t include the captcha. But if you include that, it sends the ‘submit’ button to a funny place, messes up the sidebar, basically breaks the contact page. Not impressed.

Broke my site

I installed this as an alternative to Powerpress, which I’m having a few issues with. This plugin took over my ‘podcast’ category (which already existed) so when you clicked on it you got a ‘no results’ page like when you search for something that isn’t on the site.

All I wanted was a simple plugin to embed mp3 files on posts and pages, but it tried to get me to do all sorts of other things, created a new RSS feed I didn’t want. ‘Seriously simple’ this is not.

Terrible plugin. Absolutely terrible.

Doesn’t work with MediaFire

I tried this as an alternative to powerpress but it doesn’t work – it cannot find the mp3 files on MediaFire and there’s no ability to give it a specific URL for an episode. Admittedly, powerpress is glitchy with MediaFire which is why I’m trying alternatives, and otherwise this seems to be a well-designed plugin, it’s just designed for FTP folders not Cloud servers.

Really irritating advert on EVERY back end page

I updated to the latest version recently and now on EVERY single back end page there’s a banner at the top advertising the WPtouch newsletter. You close it, it just reappears when you refresh or go to a different page. There appears to be no option to just permanently get rid of it.

I also don’t trust any plugin that does things to the back end of my site without my permission. Shame, because otherwise this is a good plugin.

Refused to let me use it unless I agreed to let it gather data

I tried to set up a contact form but I clicked ‘skip’ on the ‘let me gather data’ page it wouldn’t let me progress. I just got a ‘you’re not allowed to access this page’ message. Tried it several times, same result, total spyware.

Works brilliant straight out of the box

Very simple, works great straight out of the box, easy to adapt the CSS to fit the site’s theme, thoroughly recommended.
