I almost never leave reviews, but I have to say, I purchased this plugin from https://cff.dwbooster.com/download and their support has been out-of-this-world amazing, both quick and thorough. If you like their free version, I highly recommend you support them by buying one of their paid versions.

Improved my page speed and yslow scores a lot, but every time an iframe video is lazy loaded on a page, that page is added again when I go to the browser ‘back’ button. For example, if I have 5 videos on the page and scroll down the page to load them, I have to hit the back button 6 times to get back to the previous page.
So I used the lazy load xt plugin instead and it worked beautifully.

I’m a paid subscriber and I can’t get any support. My guess is they’ve stopped supporting the plugin as they did about a year ago, perhaps due to family reasons again. Hope everything is okay for them but I’m switching plugins.
(Alas, there aren’t any really excellent subscribe to comments plugins. I want to have much more control over which comments get emailed out but no plugin offers any control over that.)

Kudos to these guys for putting out such a robust forum plugin for free.
Personally, I feel like giving it 1 star just because of how hard it is to work with and how poor the documentation is and how they have their support forums/add-ons/documentation spread out across 2 domains so it’s really hard to find help when you need it, plus their forum search function doesn’t work very well to find answers when you run into trouble, which you will.
But that wouldn’t be fair because it’s not a 1-star plugin – it’s actually a decent plugin that for me is too complicated to use.
If I were going to give you any advice, I would say this:
1. If you already have a forum and it’s working reasonably well, don’t change just because you’re in the mood for something new. You may find some nice new features but you’ll also come across new problems. It’s often better to stick with something that’s working okay. I’ve spent a few days moving from SimplePress thinking it would be nice to have something more modern but I actually had fewer problems with SimplePress.
2. If you don’t already have a forum and you’re looking to start one, my guess is that wpForo is just as good as any other. Forums are complicated so you’re bound to run into challenges with any of them.

This plugin queries the database 1 time per user comment. If you have a blog post with, say, 300 comments, that’s 300 queries just for the comments! If you want to keep your database queries low, like under 100 for the whole page, don’t use this plugin. They’ve said they’re going to fix the poor coding but they haven’t.

This plugin works pretty well, but it loads 2 Javascript files plus 5 CSS files, and for some reason, it also uses inline styles, making it necessary to use !important in my CSS.
Plus, get_refreshed_fragments is being called twice, a big performance no-no.
So I’ll give it 3 stars because it works okay but it’s not coded for people who care about having a fast website.

I’m happy to pay for a plugin if the features are worth it to me, but there’s currently NO mention on this plugin’s description page that many of the features don’t work in the free plugin. That is false advertising.
