The Magento 2 store must be optimized for more conversions. A large number of unused product and category images pose a problem in the optimization of the store. It is sort of a task for the admin to delete such unused images and clean the database! To ease this task, Meetanshi developed Image Clean for Magento 2 that allows deleting the unused images from the media folder.
This Image Clean Up extension is a perfect tool to find the unused images and delete them in a single click or periodically. The module lists all the unused product and category images separately. These images can be deleted one by one or in bulk. The images are not deleted directly, so no need to worry about data loss! The Image Clean for Magento 2 extracts the list of all unused images and its path in a grid. Admin can go through it to decide whether to delete the images or not.
Once the extension is installed, it helps you delete the unused images. Prior to using the extension to delete unused images, it is recommended to take the complete backup of your site. Admin can select the options to clean resources for deleting the unused category images, product images or database record for nonexisting product images, limit the maximum number of images that are processed in every attempt. The admin can clean up manually using the "Clean Now" button. Else, he can enable the periodic cleanup. The periodic cleanup will take place as per the set frequency and at the set start time from the backend by the admin.
The admin can use the Unused Category Images grid to delete unused category images by clicking on the "Update Image List" to update the image list of unused images. The admin can either select all the unused category images and delete them at once using mass delete action or delete it one by one with delete action. Once the images are deleted, the success message to acknowledge the delete action is displayed.
The admin can use the backend grid "Used Product Images" to list all the used images along with the details like image, product name, image path, image size, and offers the delete action for deleting the individual images. He can also delete images in bulk using the mass action. Additionally, the popup to display the image is also supported in the grid which can be accessed with a single click by the admin.
Similarly, the admin can use the Unused Product Images grid to delete unused product images respectively by clicking on "Update Image List" to update the image list of unused images. The admin can either select all the unused product images and delete them at once using mass delete action or delete it one by one with delete action. Once the images are deleted, the success message to acknowledge the delete action is displayed. This grid also offers the feature of popup for image display. The admin can use the SSH commands for image cleanup.

While Magento 2 is already well optimized for high loads and supports full page caching and Varnish by default, a lot of things can be enhanced to speed up your store even further. The Full Page Cache Warmer extension for Magento 2 offers the solution for a common problem of cache updating due to a number of reasons. With the module, you can automate the process of cache warming to make it invisible for customers and provide them with better shopping experience. A special warmer tool requests pages with outdated cache during the periods of time with the minimal server loads. Features: Automate the cache warming process; Manage pages for the cache warming process; Auto-update cache with changes; Analyze reports; Use the debug mode to check if the extension works correctly. Fully Automated Cache Warming Process The Full Page Cache Warmer extension automatically chooses store pages that should be cached first of all. Then, these pages get to the warming queue and the module starts processing them using cron. You are able configure the extension to specify the cache warming process details. You can: prioritize pages for warming; exclude pages from warming; schedule queue generation and specific time for warming; define the queue generation source; limit the maximal queue size. Extension Performance Reports The Full Page Cache Warmer extension enables you to control the cache warming process with the help of visual performance reports and special cache warmer log. According to statistics, a user will leave a website if it takes more than 3 seconds to load. Poor site performance makes you lose potential customers before they visit your store. Google PageSpeed Insights is a free tool that allows checking the speed of the website loading. If the result is below 90 points, we recommend you to discover the ways to make your site perform better. The Google Page Speed Optimizer extension for Magento 2 helps you to prevent losing potential customers by increasing your site performance. First, the extension optimizes your code structure: you can minify, merge, and move to bottom HTML, CSS, and JS. In addition to this, the JavaScript Bundling feature will significantly reduce the page size in kilobytes. Secondly, Google Page Speed Optimizer reduces image size without any quality loss. With the flexible settings, you are free to choose the necessary quality level to get after compression and displaying format (resize or crop). Webp format is also available. Finally, enable the Lazy Load feature to reduce page loading time and prevent website pages from lagging. Adjust your preload images strategy to make your store even faster. Account & Pricing No separate account is needed, but the correct functioning of the extension requires some special software to be installed: JPEG optimization tool / PNG optimization tool / GIF optimization tool / WEBp tool. If you are not sure how to install the necessary software on the server correctly, please contact your administrator or the Amasty Support Team. Key Features: Significantly improve your site performance Increase your store score in Google PageSpeed Insights Automatically optimize product images for mobiles and tablets Minify, merge and bundle your website code Speed up store pages with Lazy Load Optimize Code Structure Move JS To Footer To improve the page rendering speed, it is recommended to place JavaScript to footer. This action lets the useful content load faster and enhances the overall user experience. Sign Static File JS and CSS files are cached by browsers when a user visits a page for the first time. The extension makes you avoid showing old versions of pages to customers by signing static files. Minify HTML, CSS & JS Reduce the original code size from 10% to 20% by removing all the unnecessary comments, line breaks, tabs, and spaces. Use Asynchronous Indexing With the asynchronous indexing, you prevent conflicts between different operations. This causes a higher site performance. Shorten the Query in the Database Use a flat table to shorten the query in the database. The shorter the query, the better the store performance is. Merge CSS & JS With the extension, merge several JS and CSS files into one. Create an advanced bundle of JS using the Advanced JS Bundling feature to reduce your page size in kilobytes. As a result, the page content loads faster and Google rank for both mobile and desktop versions is improved. New: Activate Server Push When users come to a page, they make requests and browser responds. The more requests are made, the more time it takes for the browser to respond. The Server Push feature enforces the browser to return all responses at once, without waiting for a customer to make them. Thus, shoppers get all the information beforehand, which reduces the loading time. Images Compression Automatically Optimize Images Speed up your site by compressing the size of all JPEG, PNG, and GIF images on your site store pages without any quality loss. Also, the extension equips your site with the lazy loading option. It makes off-screen images load only when a customer scrolls to them and thus prevents pages lagging. Use Webp Image Format Optimize your website images using a smart algorithm of compression. Webp format provides a smaller image size with high image quality at the same time. Create Images In Smaller Resolutions When a shopper scrolls a store using a mobile or a tablet device there's no point in loading a high-resolution image on a small display. The module automatically creates copies of images suitable for mobile and tablet devices. Using smaller resolutions positively influence a Google rank for mobiles. Select Resize Algorithm A resize and a crop image algorithm is available via smart options. When you choose to resize, images will be cut proportionally to the originals, but become smaller in pixels. When you crop, you cut a part of the image, changing its width. Make sure the pictures on your product pages are displayed appropriately and change the algorithm if needed. Optimize Media In Bulk Using the Multi-Process Generation option, you may compress images faster. The setting allows you to run multiple threads and minimize the time spent on your media optimization. Moreover, it is possible to automatically optimize newly uploaded images in Catalog and Wysiwyg folders. Speed Up Loading Activate User-Agent Apply User-Agent to automatically pre-load properly optimized images for any device. Employ all advanced page speed optimization techniques, including Lazy Load, WebP and image resize at once. This way, no matter what device your customer may have, the pages will load in no time. Adjust Lazy Load Strategy Due to extension settings, you can choose which strategy of two lazy loading scripts suits your system best: select jQuerry Lazy Script or Native JS Lazy Script. Ensure seamless web-site experience with an efficient cron job management. Cron jobs are automated background tasks that cover main website activities. They include site re-indexation, export, import, generating Google sitemaps, Magento emails, etc. But, as the web-shop grows bigger, manual management requires lots of time and certain technical knowledge. The Cron Scheduler extension for Magento 2 is a handy tool for comfortable cron jobs management. Conveniently view and edit all cron tasks for your website in bulk or individually. Visualize all running or planned jobs on a handy timeline. Fine-tune the tasks’ schedule to boost store performance. Timely detect and prevent errors with real-time notifications and save resources on maintaining the site. Key Features: Inspect all existing cron jobs in chronological order on a timeline; Monitor all running or scheduled tasks on the separate grid; Detailed info on each cron task: status, schedule, execution date, etc; View and manage tasks in bulk or individually; Get real-time error notifications on cron failures; Avoid spam by setting a notification interval. Keep All Cron Tasks Under Control Easily monitor all site’s cron jobs with the Cron Scheduler extension for Magento 2. Visualize all running and scheduled tasks on a timeline view. This extension displays each task as a mark of a certain color, so cron tasks execution errors are easy to spot and prevent. Moreover, each task’s mark has a specific width depending on a job processing time. This is highly useful for store admins, as it helps to avoid simultaneously running tasks that may slow down each other. To make it easier to manage multiple tasks, you can change the scale of the timeline with the “Zoom In” and “Zoom Out” button. Or simply hold the “Ctrl+Scroll” shortcut to adjust the timeline’s scale. On a mouse hover, the cron task details will be shown: e.g. status, task ID, “Scheduled At” and “Finished At” date and time, etc. Easily Manage All Tasks In One Place This extension gathers in one handy grid all data on all cron jobs your store has, including the third-party modules and native Magento cron jobs. Here you can find meaningful insights to diagnose the cron work: Check if cron works on the server; Monitor if cron generates and processes task; Detect cron execution errors. Timely Prevent Cron Errors In case you find errors in previous grids, you can easily adjust suitable cron jobs settings and avoid major website failures. Modify the cron tasks frequency and timing for a single task or do it in bulk to save time. Simply select the positions that you want to reconfigure and make appropriate modifications. If needed, you can run any cron job out of schedule in a single click via the “Run Job” action. In the default Magento 2 Index Management grid, admins can not reindex data, as it can only be done via command line and SSH. That is why admins have to ask for developers' help. So, there is a time gap between data changes and reindexation that can badly influence store performance and result in cart abandonment. Reindex From Admin for Magento 2 helps admins reindex all the store data from the admin panel in one click. No need to ask for developers' help and run commands in the command line. After reindexation, catalog data, prices, users, and stores will update. The store won't lag and shoppers won't abandon their carts. Key Features: Reindexing the selected data in the default Magento 2 Index Management grid Reindexing all data in one click Ease of use Reindex data without technical skills Reindex in just one click Keep stores up-to-date Reindex Data With No Technical Skills With Reindex from Admin for Magento 2, Admins can easily reindex store data from the admin panel by applying to reindex mass action. Just open the grid, pick outdated indexers, and update them in a click. Reindex All Data In One Click An admin can easily reindex all store data in bulk by pressing a special ‘Reindex all’ button. It helps to save time and prevents mistakes, as there is no need to pick indexers one by one. Keep Your Store Up-to-Date Reindexation helps to update information in the frontend as soon as any changes occur. You don't have to wait until a developer comes, opens the command line, and reindexes data via SSH. Track Reindexation Status Live To monitor the indexation process and timely find out possible errors, you can easily check the stage of indexation for each particular indexer in a handy grid. In the ‘Status’ column you can see on which step each particular indexer is right now. Track the indexers that are already reindexed or still processing in one place. JS bundling is a native Magento feature aimed at bundling all the JS files necessary for the site to work. Rather than loading 200 individual files when using RequireJs, all resources are pre-loaded in 1 file and directly available for use in code. The number of requests is therefore reduced and the loading time is improved. However, the size of these bundlesX.js files is often very heavy because they contain a lot of unnecessary resources. With Advanced JS Bundling, you can easily and quickly define which files should not be bundled. You can also define the files that are specific to a section of the website to prevent them from being loaded upon arrival on this section. The Magento_Checkout module can, for example, be grouped together in a bundle-checkoutX.js file and be downloaded only in the checkout funnel. If a file necessary for a webpage and has been removed from bundling, it will be loaded by Require JS. If you take a look at the demo, you will notice that all the settings of Advanced JS Bundling from Blackbird Agency are available in the admin. This makes this extension much easier to use. Features Exclusion Exclude files or modules from bundles.js files, like for example, Magento_Tinymce3 does not need to be loaded for the front-end pages. This is similar to what you can do in your view.xml theme file but is accessible directly in the admin panel. Dispatch By Section Target the JS libraries required only for specific sections in order to load them at the right time. You can define a group for the customer area, product page, categories, and checkout. Improve website performance By reducing the number of JS libraries loaded in front-end, you will improve significantly the page weight and the performance. Every day, Magento 2 users spend many hours working on the backend to manage their business. With tons of actions created by the admins in the backend, it’s challenging to note or keep track of all performances in details manually.
