This plugin has worked great up until tonight when I installed the 2.0.3 upgrade and lost functionality- there doesn’t appear to be a way to limit events on the widget anymore. I had to downgrade to 0.7.3.1 to fix this.

Google Calendar Events was nearly exactly what I was looking for and I’m very grateful for all the work that goes into building open source software.

Unfortunately, the upgrade to 3.0.1 deleted live calendars, settings, and Google API credentials.

In addition, the new version injects a lot of inline CSS. I could not find a setting or hook in the code to override it.

I can see that the plugin is becoming more extensible, but in the meantime the version upgrade broke live sites and didn’t provide functionality I actually needed. In the future, it’d be useful if the plugin could put up a warning stating an update will not maintain compatibility.

WP FullCalendar is a really terrific plugin. This is my first website, but no other calendars seemed to compare. I have never had any problems with it and all of the users are very pleased. I particularly love the way it displays the colors that I choose for each parent event category type. It works seamlessly, with my most critical plugin, Events Manager. Thank you Marcus Sykes!

I haven’t yet found anything this can’t do for me. The support is great and helped with some slightly back-door approaches where needed. Sometimes the way to achieve something isn’t obvious, but Franky always points you in the right direction. He doesn’t hold your hand but if you are willing to work with him rather than be led by the nose you can get exactly what you need.

A fantastic plugin.

Several weeks on and in use on a new membership site, this is still great. Support gets better and better and the plugin just does the job!

Several months on, and I still stand by the above. Slight tweaks in upgradesmake it even simpler to use. It is complex but not complicated, still love it.
