David began working as a hairdresser in San Francisco at the age of 17, while in high school. His best friend and brother, Daniel, would follow the same path shortly after, and after a decade of working with industry leaders and top salons, they connected with close friends to create a salon that inspires design, community, and culture. We are proud to offer a platform that allows stylists to work for themselves, as we pioneered and offer a co-working/rental platform (not reserved for upmarket salons). It allows our stylists to flourish both inside and out of the salon. David James Marin is our modern approach to the classic barbershop. Our experienced barbers specialize in pampering classic straight razor shaves, modern and classic cuts including scissor cuts, clipper cuts, fades, and buzz cuts. .
