Something that wasn’t obvious to me until I had burrowed well down the documentation in my attempts to link my Google Calendar, is that I needed a Timely Calendar. For my needs, where I want to display multiple calendars on site, that just won’t work.

The fact that I can import my google calendar (and other calendars) is a massive time saver! Perfect for a community calendar. Looks pretty good out of the box too! I’ll be testing this on my other sites soon.

I’ve been looking for a wordpress calendar plugin that can pull from multiple google calendars, allows sorting by category, and allows website users to subscribe to the calendar, and I finally found this one! On top of that it looks clean and is pretty intuitive. It’s definitely the best wordpress calendar I’ve used so far. They had a few bugs back in December/early January and that probably accounts for a lot of the negative reviews, but they’ve since fixed them and it’s working great!

The plugin works as described, and I have purchased the pro version. However the standard response to support is often to edit css which is not user-friendly for most. Some simple functions which make sense are not available, and there is not option to maintain styling from your theme which is an important design consideration. These are not show stoppers, but would improve the plugin immensely. Support comes from the same account but is obviously responded by different staff members who don’t seem to read the entire thread, resulting in wasted time on repeated responses. It can take a while for support to clearly understand your issue. I would rate it higher but feel let down by the support for the pro version. EDIT – I am downgrading this review. I have had ongoing issues, tech support is inconsistent. After providing access to my site they have made a colossal mess of things and have since refused to respond to me. After using EDD for nearly a decade, I now have to downgrade my review. Chronic issues reported by my customers about being unable to download due to “exceeding the limit” after 1 or 2 attempts. Resetting access and upping the number of downloads has not corrected the problem and I have had to provide direct links myself to fulfill purchases, wasting everyone’s time and creating privacy concerns that have to be addressed. Extremely slow response (read – none after 3 days) from support after spending over $200 in the past month on extensions that have produced shortcode errors and double pricing on my site in mobile and desktop modes. Visitors are not going to trust my products when my store behaves like it was coded by a third grader. Unacceptable. Amended Review: Pippin addressed all of the issues and Easy Digital Downloads now works perfectly. Highly recommend! Simple, well-conceived and easy to use, BUT EDD permission and communication problems with payment processors render it useless. The plugin is free, but priority support is paid for. However, even after purchasing support I have had no resolution – in fact, no response to my support query in 48 hours – and it appears I am not the only one. To be fair, it looks like Pippin may be in the midst of dealing with rapid growth that is hard to handle. Regardless, it remains that EDD does not perform as advertised at this time. I have in my php.ini file set to except file uploads of over a gig as that’s the size of most of my stuff. This works, how ever for some reason and with other digital dl plugins I’ve tried file links brake when they are 30 mb or bigger. These are in my case zip files. I hope this can get looked in to as I have some pretty big stuff to sell in a matter of days and I might not be around to help the user should they get stuck.

Other than the few minor issues noted below, this plugin is incredibly well put together, and I highly recommend that others use it when a larger e-commerce solution is unwarranted. The problem I have with this plugin is that by default it injects a bunch of JavaScript into the head element of *every* page on your WordPress site, regardless of if it’s in use on that page or not. The more plugins that allow themselves to just spit out inline code all over the page (especially on pages where it’s not needed at all) the messier (and slower) our sites will become.

First of all, this really is a fantastic product. It is clean, clear well-implemented and feature rich. Truly one of the best event calendaring plug-ins I have seen. However for needs, we would need to use some of the add-on products also provided by Web Dorado. These add ons come at a fee, which is no big deal, I have no problem paying for a great product. With that said, I must question their choice of pricing model. Basically if you have a need to use one of their add-ons, you will need to pay a fee to upgrade to the pro version. Then you will need to pay a fee to purchase the add-on. Need another add-on? Pay a fee. Need more than 6 months of support? Pay a fee. Want to get software updates? Pay a fee. Need to use the product on more than one site? Pay a fee. You get the idea. How about this instead? Offer the “add-ons” included as part of your pro product. Charge a flat fee to unlock all of these advanced features at one time instead of nickel and dimeing your customers. The pricing model is so convoluted I feel like I am buying a cell phone contract instead of a wordpress plug-in. And for christ sakes provide software updates at NO CHARGE. It looks as though you have quite a few customers so some people must be ok with this business model, too bad I wont be one of them.

I have only tried the free version but it really works well and I have had no issues with it. I think the look is a bit limited in the free version but I believe the paid version has more capabilities in this regard. Setting up organisers and venues is simple and adding events could not be easier with very nice presentation.

This is by far the most responsive and most useful support site I have visited in my 30+ years of using support sites on and off the web. Product is great and there is little need for support even for newcomers to Word Press. Highly recommend the product just to use the support.

After hours of watching youtube videos to try and make wpevents work (pausing, rewind, play, edit, pause, rewind, play, edit, etc, etc, etc), frustration forced me to look for alternatives. The simple truth is the WP Events is NOT USER FRIENDLY!!!! FOOEVENTS is intuitive, it simply flows with zoom, dances well with WooCommerce. The fact that WP Events does not allow refunds speaks to the fact that they want money for something that does not work! Why jump through hoops and anxiety to get a product like WP Events to work when FooEvents just does!?!! I would not give WP Events 1 star. This plugin does NOT deserve a Star!! It is really easy to use with a nice default setting and layout as a WordPress user. Some documentation can be added about the functions inside the plugins for developers. I have the Pro version of the importer. I found this to be the only plugin that properly handles imports from my organization’s page on a scheduled basis. As you can see from numerous other reviews, this is not only a great add-on to the Events Calendar plug-in but also the level of support you get is just outstanding. I use it to manage registrations for tournaments and it has really made things a lot easier not only for the players but also for me to manage the whole end-to-end process. When he gets that waiting list feature going, I’m going to look into giving him 6 Stars!!

I’ve tried clearing my Chrome browser cache, starting a new browser instance. I tried to deactivate the plugin, then reactivate it, then start a new browser instance and try again. The whole Events Calendar solution looks great. Just can’t capture a registration. I use free versions to evaluate whether to buy. Doesn’t look promising on this one.

It just about works. It’s got many (esoteric) options that might work for your situation. On paper it looks perfect for booking events. Being free, it’s hard to look this gift horse in the mouth, but I have to say this: Only use it if you don’t care much how your website looks. It las a lot of rough edges compared to the standard that Woocommerce has set. Out of the box, it has a few styles and layouts which may or may not be appropriate for your site. You can change some colours and button/label text, but a lot of the configuration options are confusing. Managing end dates/times or multiple start times is inadequate and leaves the event details looking very messy. If you miss out some data (eg part of the address) you’re left with gaping holes and commas dangling in mid-air. Diving in to the code, you can override the main template but be ready for a world of pain. I seriously considered forking this and rewriting it, but a better option might be to simply pay money for something else. This topic was modified 2 years, 8 months ago by Rob Record. The first couple of weeks of using, I noticed a handful of errors in spelling or formatting. I posted in support and within a few days all corrections were made. I am using the plugin quite extensively and for a free plugin it is top-notch. As corrections are made and the plug in fine tuned I am sure it will become my favorite of all plugins for my clients.

This plugin has served me well for years already. After reading some of the negative reviews, I felt the need to post a positive one. My impression of most of the negative reviews is that those come from people that haven’t properly read the plugin’s features or from people that didn’t get the plugin to magically do exactly what they wanted within two minutes and then blamed the plugin. In other words, I feel most bad reviews are undeserved. Anyway, onto my own review. Like I said I’ve been using this plugin for years and I’m perfectly happy with it. I’ve never had any single problem with it. Yes the features and capabilities of the free version are basic, but it’s perfect for my use case (restricting certain pages to logged in users). The only issue I’ve had is when using this plugin combined with the W3 Total Cache plugin with browser cache enabled. This lead to users seeing the “you need to be logged in” message on a restricted page that they had already visited before logging in. But I found a workaround for that which also increased the user friendliness of my site in the process. What I did was I altered this plugin’s “Restricted Message” to include a login prompt like so: <p>You need to be logged in to view this part of the website.</p><p>[not_logged_in][login-form][/not_logged_in]</p>. This way a user can log in on any restricted page, instead of having to navigate to the login page and then back to the page they wanted to view, which would then be served from the browser’s cache and still display the “you need to be logged in” message unless the user manually reloaded the page. Since the act of logging in forces a reload of the page you’re on, the actual content automagically appears, instead of the browser serving up the cached page. This is exactly the kind of issue that I’ve seen other users blame this plugin for, when in reality it’s due to an interaction between this and another plugin. So take it from me, this plugin works. And if it appears it doesn’t, it’s worth investigating, because most likely there is something else going on that’s causing it.

This is an excellent plugin! It does exactly what I was looking for very simply and easily. I really don’t understand the negative reviews – either they don’t understand how it works, or they misunderstood the plugin description. I was happy that I could even put the login_form shortcode in the message to users. If they go to the content they get the logon message along with a login form, and if they’re already loggged in, they see only the desired content. Perfect!

tested on 4.8 beta. Activated, edited page to be for subscribers only, set message for subcriber level access refusal. Logged in user could access Logged out user in other browser could not and message was displayed. Clean, simple.

Were a startup doing sales letters and funnels. We are currently focused on our first launch with our first customer, building the processes at the same time we push the customer project through them. Tedious work, and fun. It´s the first time we do pretty much everything. Anyway.. When the payment button didn’t work the way it was supposed to, the support suggested id create a temporary wordpress login, for them to use inorder to test and troubleshoot the problem and i did. Less than hours later an email arrived, detailing the exact origins of the problem, included was a step by step guide o exatly how to fix the problem. With screenshots and everything. Turns out the fault was entirely my own. I had misspelled the suffix in the domain name in googles reCaptcha service. I was blown away that these guys just took over and did the whole trouble shooting for us. Not only did they go above and beyond what could reasonably be expected, but because they just did it, they let me focus on my stuff knowing i didnt have to worry about the payment button issue. They just found and fixed the error i had caused myself by typing the wrong domain suffix in the captcha settings with Google. And voilá! Now we accept credit cards. My own fault entirely. It’s hard to find plugins that just work – and work just the way you need them to – but this plugin is perfect! And, if you’re taking requests ???? I know you have the shortcode to change the “overlay image” – which works perfectly! The one thing I’ve been trying to do – and it seems to involve a boatload of coding – is change the button image. I know you can change the text in the button, which again is great…but would love to be able to use my own image for the “pay with card” button. Thank you very much for your work on this!!! Rob

This it the best WP plugin I have found for creating short URLs. It is easy and intuitive to create a short link. It tracks clicks and works on all platforms. The only drawback I found is that it does not warn us when we create a duplicate link. Duplicate links will be added without any warning, but only the first ever one will work. Functionality – Works perfectly as described, except for FacebookGroup Imports, this is because FB API restricts it only to Group Admin. Should be updated in documentation to set expectations. Imports work as long as you are the Group Admin. I found this Eventbrite plugin to be very useful. It can import Eventbrite feeds that can be displayed in the best event calendar plugins like The Event Calendar, EventOn, Timely All in One Calendar etc. Extra bonus, I can use these import feeds in Elementor with addons like LiveMesh and Essential Addons, to create nice page layouts with grids, carousels and sliders. Very easy and convenient. I requested support and received a prompt and courteous reply. Very happy with this Eventbrite aggregator. This topic was modified 1 year, 10 months ago by d37k0.

I installed the plugin, the plugin was very easy to install. I required something outside of what the plugin was able to do standard and for a very reasonable fee, they were able to quickly add the updates I needed into the plugin and now my client is thrilled. Very happy with not only the plugin but the team at Xylus for getting it done so quickly and professionally.

After struggling with another calendar for some time and not getting a response from the developer, I found this perfect replacement. It was easy to set up, the instructions are short and sweet and written in non-developer language so I can understand, and it will work well for my readers. Thanks SO MUCH!!
