We worked with Softengi on two projects - a web platform that serves as a storage for people's MRI and CT scans, and a mobile app which is curated matchmaking service for users and local businesses. When developing a web platform for the first project, we had a very positive experience with Softengi - they were organized and successfully created a great final product which fully met our expectations. On the second project, they realized the ideas of the management into a working MVP, which was a mobile app available on iOS and Android. The second experience working with Softengi was somewhat less satisfactory. On one side, they did develop the app, the high architecture and the SRS, they fully developed an app from scratch. On the other side, they were not well organized, not as efficient and were not meeting set deadlines. To sum up, we consider the experience of working with Softengi as satisfactory

The Softengi team is implementing a computer vision technology to make Def-C UAV more efficient in terms of target recognition, tracking, and detection. Upgraded with this system, drones will be more useful for multiple purposes, such as accurate cargo escorting in logistics.This is just one of the applications of the drones powered with the computer vision, they can also be applied in agriculture and military sectors.This target detection, tracking & recognition system for Def C has one indisputable advantage: it’s created for computer onboard plates that are installed on the drones, which allows processing the video even without the signal from the base and in nowadays this is very important part of the UAV systems in flight in the line of sight. Basically, this system of the target detection and tracking is optimal for working in two regimens: live and autonomous. Softengi team is powering Def C droned with computer vision using the following technological stack: Python, C++, and Open CV. So far our cooperation runs smoothly and productively.

We needed to update our mobile application making it more user-friendly and intuitive. That is why we asked an IT company to consult us in terms of UI/UX research that will be further implemented in the mobile application for document management. Making the research after business analysts and architects completed their work, based on the search results, the FRS was formed. At the next stage, the development team began the development of the application.The UI/UX research has shown that for future users it will be relevant to use the application in the light version, namely, to perform simple actions - approval, signingand removal of documents.This information became the basis for the future mobile application.

I hired Gecko in order to develop a mobile app. From the beginning, the team was great with communication and establishing targets and deliverables. I was working under a tight deadline, so the team respected that and diverted resources properly to make sure it was completed on time. I was impressed with all the groups, from the UI/UX, to backend, frontend, to designing logos, etc. The team was very professional and was patient with me, coming from a non-technical background and at times not knowing what is required. Midway through the project, I wanted to completely change the design of it because I wasn't completely satisfied with the aesthetics. The team managed to change and overhaul the entire thing within a matter of a week, and now it looks amazing!The beta that was delivered exceeded expectations, and was exactly as we had planned. The team is continuing to make great progress and tweaks, and they have been exceptionally capable.

I hold a position in the R&D department as a Product Owner. My background is IT (hardware, software, networks, engineering, integration). For some years I have acted as Project Manager for IT projects .Our Company decided to expand our service offering adding a new core electronic service. The challenge was to create a scalable , extendable, robust responsive middleware and integrate the underlying technology with the upper public service layer.We have followed a typical RFP cycle for this project and Gecko Dynamics won the contract.During past 5 months, Gecko Dynamics has delivered the middleware and it has been pushed to production test successfully. We expect to go live with the service by the end of the year.The cooperation between the teams is excellent, Gecko Dynamics remains responsive and supportive during the pre-launch step, that in turn led to Phase 2 of this project (extension and additional features integration).In general, I was able to reach Gecko's Project Manager well out of office hours, something that I consider as invaluable when you are deploying a service. Sometimes you need that security from your technology partner.Over all the cooperation is excellent, the only note that i would made is about Documentation. They are supportive, responsive and will spend time with you but if you wish to follow strict Prince 2 principals on project closure you have to adapt their documentation and generate the Administration and Key User manuals.

We partnered with Gecko Dynamics because we needed to develop a domain registrar softwareand they seemed to have the closest understanding of the business and technical aspects ofsuch software. The domain registration industry has a very sophisticated requirements so weneeded a partner who can understand them and has a very deep technical knowledge. Theyshowed both in the initial meetings.After being contracted, Gecko Dynamics developed a custom platform from scratch in Java. Inaddition, they also provided business and technical analysis which potentially saved us a lot ofmoney as they indicated threats which we were not aware of. They also did the UI/UX design,testing and provided project management and maintenance as well. The platform turned out to besuccessful and it currently serves over 65,000 customers.What I appreciate most is that they were very thoughtful from the beginning, they didn’t leave thequestions unanswered and really showed a great attitude to really understand all high and low-level details. I found it very impressive because I’m in IT industry for 20 years already and I’vebeen working with many different software development companies, and with various results, butit was the first time I saw an external company caring that much. Sometimes I had a feeling likethey were caring about how to make the most optimal solutions more than me.After Phase 1, I decided that I want stay with this company for the next phases and for and otherprojects. They turned out to be a perfect mixture of attention, knowledge, cost and performance.They also communicated very well and I knew what was going on at every stage of the project,and if there were problems or issues they were always able to resolve it in a healthy-working wayfor both parties.I work with them for 12 years already and am very happy with everything they provided so far.

We have been a clients for a couple months now and could not be more happy with the product side as well as management side of the company. They have brought our crazy mobile app idea to life.For context, we are building out a very complex mobile tech platform and in-turn have difficult needs and wants from a developer, all of these have been met, and then some. I could not ask more from a mobile app developer to date. Complete transparency and professionalism in all aspects of the project to date.Starting from the discovery phase of the project, a clear and thoughtful plan was laid out which has saved us much time and headache. All employees are highly professional and extremely knowledge in their respective fields and specialities. They bring in specialists to help tackle certain tasks vs a team of generalists, which has been very productive for us.The most helpful value has surprisingly been our product owner, who has acted like our quarterback, directing our team with a hands-on, in the weeds, type approach.Management very involved as well, and have our best interests in mind. Nightmare! Billed us $74,000.00. After 1.5 years of nothing we began to put pressure. They promised a delivery by a certain date for our intro party. They faked the entire program, missed the release date, humiliated us and we had to rebuild the entire program with another company costing us $120,000.00. I cut and pasted the letter responding from Jo Overline the owner to our attorney demanding for our money back for the failed program. The proof is that we do not have a running program that they promised. If so where is it? It was nothing short of junk. It did not work in any capacity. Please see his letter. He's just too technically-incompetent and detached from the process to literally understand anything. Several times he went completely off the grid for weeks and we got zero communication, and we documented it every time. Your letter shows a lack of basic understanding of the situation. No source code from another company was illegally taken or used. James has no understanding of open source software and the legal use around it (because it's literally used in every software project in the world and 100% ethical and legal). I 100% GUARANTEE his "new" project uses it too. The legal laughing stock you would become making this argument against open-source would be nothing short of epic in the software world. Additionally, we use industry-standard code repositories that literally log every line of code written by every developer daily. There is an entire history of every line of custom code written for James with timestamps and logs, matching exactly his requests, it's indisputable. We are an extremely reputable company, it's widely known. We delivered many other websites/etc to James in the past. It's silly to think we would pick one to defraud him, but deliver on many others. Your claims of fraud are far-fetched and ridiculous, with no basis, but I guess that's what we get for going outside of our usual highly-technical clients and working with a caveman. If you want to talk about fraud, let's talk about how James secretly registered his different sites and hid them separately so he could defraud his insurance company on his policies, or how he illegally imports Kratom from South America and labels it as Yerba Mate Tea, using dummy sites to give it some authenticity in case the border official googles the business. I am sure CBP would like to know about that. Yeah we have that in writing too. In fact, also James talking about it on video - we record all our video meetings, and we disclose it at the beginning of every one with a "recording" text on-screen. This is the type of guy we are dealing with so don't talk to me about fraud. Every effort was made to make James happy and resolve this situation. I know James, i'm not stupid, it's all in writing and documented by every member of our team. In fact, even by James's team, behind his back, confirming he had no idea what was talking about and accepting deliverables as functional, in writing, with accompanying demo videos. FYI we haven't been in California for a couple years after an acquisition.
